Founded in 1992, Interm was established by a group of scientists and engineers who had been performing fundamental and applied research in the field of thermoelectricity for many years and combined their knowledge and expertise to develop innovative technologies of thermoelectric module assembling and implement them in full-scale manufacturing.
Interm's 1000 sq. m. facility is located in Chernivtsi (Ukraine) and outfitted with the complete set of modern manufacturing equipment for:
- Growing and processing of thermoelectrical materials
- Assembling and testing of thermoelectrical modules
- Synthesis and research of novel semiconductor materials
- Creation, analysis and testing of innovative devices

In 2005 Optokom Ltd became a part of Interm as a division of thecompany. It designs and manufactures optoelectronic products:photodiodes, LED/phototransistor arrays, conditioning modules,optocouplers and sensorsOptokom Ltd was founded in 1996 by a group of engineers whodesigned optoelectronic components for industrial and consumerapplications. It also manufactured limited quantities of the developedproducts for companies in Ukraine, Byelorussia and Germany. Co-operation with Interm expanded manufacturing capability of Optokomand improved quality of its product by implementation of advancedtechnological processes and quality system ISO 9001.
